The School
Sailcompany is the one and only VDWS certified Sailingschool in the Algarve, Portugal. Founded in …. it has been the focus point for new and returning clients that want to learn and improve their sailing skills. We offer a variety of courses from beginners classes to regatta and match race instructions. Apart from sailing courses Sailcompany offers boat and SUP rentals, company incentives, team building events and boat trips. Our boat fleet consists of a range of Catamarans, Dinghies and Optimists.
Location
Our station is located on the majestic Meia Praia beach not far from the center of Lagos in the western part of the Algarve. The golden sand stretches for roughly 4 km from the city center to the river mouth of the Odiaxere river. The u-shaped bay provides a perfectly protected flat water area for sailing. A Day At Sailcompany
We work hard to make our clients happy. A day at Sailcompany starts between 8 and 9, when we ready the boats, check all the safety utensils and prepare the equipment for our students and guests. At 10am the lessons start. In the morning a pleasant southern breeze builds with a strength of 5 to 10 knots. In the afternoon the wind turns and a stronger north wind with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 knots allows slightly more challenging sailing. Sailcompany is a known but still hidden gem for sailing action in Lagos. They have a very friendly and service oriented team. We learned to sail the Catamaran in various conditions (little wind , waves and strong wind).
Rainer always stayed calm and controlled so you get a sound and super skilled understanding of managing a CAT.
